Naniki is tucked into the hills of the Scotland District in the village of Suriname, St. Joseph, on the grounds of the Lush Life Nature Resort. What began as an anthurium flower farm in 1991 grew into a restaurant in 2001, and today it serves Caribbean dishes such as catch of the day, curried or grilled chicken and roast pork alongside yam, breadfruit, sweet potato and coconut bakes. The setting is open-air with long Atlantic views, and Sunday's 'A Taste of the Caribbean' jazz buffet is a local institution. Lunch is served Tuesday to Sunday; Saturday morning valley hikes end with lunch at the restaurant.
