Pebbles Beach

South Coast · Christ Church

Rating: 4.4 / 5

Pebbles Beach is the quieter southern end of Carlisle Bay, below Needhams Point and the Hilton. Despite the name, the sand is fine and pale, the shallows are gentle, and the whole strip is well suited to children and first-time swimmers. The nearby Barbados Cruising Club lets you hire stand-up paddleboards through Paddle Barbados, and the south coast boardwalk runs close by, making it easy to combine a swim with a walk past the Garrison. Come early for the best parking, and bring reef-safe sunscreen if you plan to snorkel the Carlisle Bay wrecks offshore.
